Manufacturing process
Powder metallurgy: Tungsten CARBIDE CENTRIFUGE TILES are usually manufactured using powder metallurgy. Tungsten carbide powder is first mixed with a small amount of binding metal (e.g. cobalt or nickel) and pressed at high temperatures and pressurized to form a billet of the desired shape.
Sintering: The pressed blank is then sintered in a sintering furnace. During the sintering process, the binding metal in the blank melts, facilitating the bonding of the tungsten carbide particles to form a strong composite material.
Precision machining: After sintering, the tungsten carbide tiles are precision machined to the desired size and shape. Langsun Carbide can customize Carbide Centrifuge Tile according to the customer's centrifuge model and application environment.
